What is ISTOK ?
We called our school Istok because it is a source of knowledge and learning for the younger generation of children with Russian origins. We feel it important for these children to learn the Russian language, Literature and Culture so they can better understand Russian Traditions and be able to communicate with their relatives at home. ISTOK also provides the ideal meeting point for Russian speaking parents to exchange views and attend regular celebrations and events held at the school. What do we offer - All levels of the Russian language - Language communication - Qualified Russian teachers - Group tuition with individual attention - Drama and Art courses - Music & singing lessons - Preparation to GCSE and GCE - Children's concerts, Parties and Celebrations Sessions Saturdays (Reading, St Edward's School, 64 Tilehurst Road, RG30 2JH): 10:00-2:00pm — for children from 2-15 years Sundays (Bracknell, Binfield Memorial Hall, Terace Road, RG42 4EW): 10:00-2:00pm — for children from 2-15 years
